Welcome to Girls on the Run of Montgomery County, PA - a life-changing, non-profit prevention program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade. Our mission is "to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living."

Girls on the Run combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running race with healthy living education. Our programs instill self-esteem and strong values through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training - all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community. 

Girls on the Run of Montgomery County, PA is an Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 200 locations across the United States and Canada.

Use your energy and your enthusiasm by forming a Girls on the Run team. Here's how:

4 Person team- raising a minimum of $600.00 (at least $125.00 per team member). Designated team captain sets the goal maximum with the team. This entitles you to 4 free race entries, race day t-shirts, race bags, and finishing ribbon. 

6 Person team- raising a minimum of $800.00 (at least $125.00 per team member). Designated team captain sets the goal maximum with the team. This entitles you to 6 free race entries, race day t-shirts, race bags, and finishing ribbon.

8 Person team- raising a minimum of $1000.00 (at least $125.00 per team member). Designated team captain sets the goal maximum with the team. This entitles you to 8 free race entries, race day t-shirts, race bags, and finishing ribbon.

Sole Mates is the charity running leg of Girls on the Run. We are a team of athletes who pursue individual goals, such as running a marathon, to raise money for local GOTR chapters and our important after school running programs for young girls.
